We are seeking a highly skilled Radiation Dosimetrist to join our team at Brigham & Women's Hospital(BWH). As a key member of our Radiation Oncology department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and safe delivery of radiation therapy treatments to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Administer radiation therapy treatments accurately and safely, following departmental policy and procedure.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, medical staff, and healthcare team.
- Perform daily QA measures to ensure proficient operation of all imaging and treatment equipment.
- Participate in and appropriately document the Time Out procedure for all treatments delivery information.
- Assist the Lead Radiation Therapist to develop new techniques and assist with emerging technology projects.
- Valid Massachusetts State License in Radiation Therapy.
- High School + Certificate in radiation Therapy or Associate Degree in Radiation Therapy.
- BS in Radiation Therapy (preferred).
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle sensitive and confidential patient information, and adapt to frequent interruptions and shifting priorities.
Must be prepared to work overtime, holidays, and weekends, as needed.
Works with ionizing radiation, radioactive isotopes, MR, computers, cancer patients, both adults and children, and their families.
Lifting and repositioning patients, using mechanical assistive devices.
