Job Title: Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our team at Gables Care Center Inc. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our residents.

Job Summary:

The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant will assist the Occupational Therapist in planning, directing, and administering Occupational Therapy Services in our facility. This includes developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, conducting assessments, and providing education to residents and their families.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Occupational Therapist in planning and implementing Occupational Therapy Services
  • Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Provide education to residents and their families on Occupational Therapy techniques and strategies
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care
  • Maintain accurate records and reports
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives
Requirements:
  • Associate degree from an accredited program conferring the title of Occupational Therapist Assistant
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a therapist capacity in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related medical facility
  • Training in rehabilitative and restorative therapy practices
  • Current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant in this state
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
  • Knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents served
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Leadership and supervisory ability
  • Ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret programs, goals, objectives, policies, procedures, etc.
  • Knowledge of occupational therapy procedures
