Salary Range: The estimated salary for this position is $85,000 - $95,000 USD, depending on experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Bioanalytical Research Scientist to join our team. As a key member of our laboratory operations, you will be responsible for developing new and refining existing bioanalytical methods, working closely with other scientists, principal investigators, and operations chemists to ensure method scope and performance meet client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently develop new and refine existing bioanalytical methods, followed by successful validation and transfer into operations.
- Partner with other scientists, principal investigators, and operations chemists to ensure method scope and performance meet client requirements.
- Assist in assay troubleshooting with a sense of urgency.
- Contribute to the development of novel assays that evolve our current analyte and/or platform offerings.
- Consider operational efficiency and cost when developing methods.
- Provide technical and scientific guidance to research staff.
- Contribute to presentations, posters, manuscripts, and attend scientific meetings, conferences, and training courses to enhance job and professional skills.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's degree (B.S./B.A.) or equivalent in a scientific related discipline.
- Minimum 6-7 years related experience with a Bachelor's degree, 3-4 years with a Master's degree, 0-2 years with a Ph.D.
- Hands-on experience with bioanalytical sample extraction techniques and the use of LC-MS/MS instrumentation.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements of study types assigned, as well as Testing Facility SOPs and Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs).
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in standard software including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc., and standard laboratory calculations.
