We're seeking an experienced Operating Room Nurse to join our team at Travel Nurse Across America. As an OR Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment.
Responsibilities:- Assist physicians and medical staff in caring for surgical patients
- Provide pre- and post-surgery care and education to patients
- Work within the operating suite, outside of the sterile field, as a circulating nurse or within the sterile field as a scrub nurse
- Monitor and observe patients during surgery, responding to potential complications alongside the physician
- Prepare instruments for specific surgical procedures, administer and record prescribed medication, and ensure accurate care and handling of specimens
- 1-2 years recent acute care experience as a circulating nurse, scrub nurse, or RN first assistant
- BLS and NIH certifications
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty
- Ability to lift 20 pounds, with occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds
