Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Police Officer to join our team at the City of Billings. As a Police Officer, you will be responsible for enforcing laws, preventing crimes, and providing excellent customer service to the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patrol designated areas to preserve law and order, prevent crimes, and enforce traffic laws and ordinances.
  • Respond to emergency calls, including domestic disturbances, civil complaints, and automobile accidents.
  • Investigate crimes and gather evidence, interview witnesses and suspects, and testify in court.
  • Collect, process, and present evidence, including fingerprints, fibers, and other physical evidence.
  • Maintain contact with citizens, provide public education on crime prevention, and promote community policing.
Requirements
  • Must be a citizen of the United States.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have a valid Montana driver's license.
  • Must be able to pass a physical abilities test, written examination, oral interview, pre-employment drug test, and background investigation.
