Job Title: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to join our team for a 13-week assignment in Santa Rosa, CA.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced hospital setting. As a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional care to expectant mothers and their newborns, working closely with the healthcare team to ensure a safe and successful delivery.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized care to patients in the labor and delivery unit, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians, and document patient responses and outcomes.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
  • Assist with deliveries, including preparing patients for delivery, monitoring fetal heart rates, and providing post-delivery care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
Requirements:
  • Current RN licensure in the state of California.
  • 1-3 years of experience as a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with the healthcare team.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.
