We are seeking a skilled Electro-Mechanical Assembler to join our team at Teledyne. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for assembling subassemblies and top assemblies of complex products, including commercial parts for customers such as Boeing, Airbus, and Commercial Aircraft operators worldwide.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine and repetitive assembly operations and processes for aircraft solutions in a manual manufacturing assembly line environment.
- Work in a team environment participating in continuous improvement activities.
- Use basic hand tools, equipment, and power tools (cordless drill) to perform assembly tasks.
- Perform visual inspection, identify any defective items, and handle according to established procedures and processes.
- Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, verbal, and/or written instructions to complete assembly tasks.
- Perform cross-training when required and proactively identify and assist in process improvements.
- Adhere to operational procedures, ensure tooling is in calibration before use, and maintain a clean and safe work area.
- High school diploma and some degree of vocational or technical training.
- 0-2 years of directly related experience.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Basic knowledge of ISO and/or AS9100 and working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing/6 Sigma/Kaizen.
