Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team at GPAC. As a Heavy Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of heavy equipment, including cranes, excavators, concrete pumps, and foundation drilling rigs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Repair and maintain all equipment, both rented and owned, to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Input equipment repairs via work orders and related web-based software tools to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Lead by example in terms of safety, work ethic, and effective communication with field employees, including supervision levels.
  • Collaborate with other mechanics to improve internal processes and share knowledge and best practices.
  • Servicing of equipment on various job sites to ensure timely completion and customer satisfaction.
  • Troubleshoot equipment problems independently on off-site projects to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
  • Follow and uphold all required safety rules and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Recognize and correct safety hazards to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Diagnose and make repairs related to welding and cutting to ensure equipment is in good working condition.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and keep company records and complete work orders on equipment in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • High level of understanding within diesel, hydraulics, and electrical related applications.
  • Ability to work with diagrams, schematics, and all related diagnostic work.
  • Working knowledge of heavy equipment, including cranes, excavators, concrete pumps, and foundation drilling rigs.
  • Welding experience is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
  • High school diploma or equivalent GED required.
