About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Oncology Nurse to join our team at Augusta Health. As a key member of our cancer care team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and support to individuals with cancer and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to individuals with cancer, including administering chemotherapy, managing symptoms, and educating patients and families about treatment options and self-care.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, and develop and implement plans to address these needs.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination and transitions.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices in oncology nursing.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
  • One year of experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in an oncology setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
