Deaf and Hard of Hearing Education Specialist

Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher to join our team of exceptional educators. As a Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality educational services to students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that cater to the unique needs of students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive and inclusive learning environment.
- Use American Sign Language (ASL) and other communication strategies to facilitate effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Stay up-to-date with best practices in Deaf and Hard of Hearing education, and participate in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- 1 year of verifiable experience as a Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher within the last 3 years.
- Valid Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher credential/license or in process in the state of practice.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
