Job DescriptionAs a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for:
- Assisting customers throughout the buying process, leveraging established selling steps, policies, and procedures.
- Greeting and qualifying customers by understanding their requirements and interests.
- Writing sales orders and processing paperwork in accordance with dealership policies.
- Utilizing dealership sales controls and follow-up systems.
- Offering test drives to interested customers and obtaining proper identification prior to the test drive.
- Explaining product performance, application, and benefits, as well as describing optional equipment for purchase.
- Maintaining a customer satisfaction rating at or above company standards.
- Ensuring the sales manager has an opportunity to meet each customer.
- Maintaining a follow-up system that encourages repeat and referral business and contributes to customer satisfaction.
- Delivering vehicles to customers, ensuring they understand the vehicle's operating features, warranty, and paperwork.
- Staying up-to-date on new products, features, accessories, etc., and their benefits to customers.
- Observing all federal, state, local, and company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties.
- Demonstrating behaviors consistent with the company's values in all interactions with customers, coworkers, and vendors.
- Maintaining a professional personal appearance.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- Previous sales, customer service, or retail experience is a plus, but not required.
- Valid in-state driver's license.
- Must submit to a background and drug screen.
Duties are performed throughout the dealer premises, both indoors and outdoors, and on customer test drives. Work includes frequent movement around the company facilities and the outdoor car lot to interact with customers and other departments. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear and is frequently required to stand, walk, and sit. The position requires regular and predictable attendance. Scheduled shifts will include evening hours, weekends, and holidays.
