Estimate Approver Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Estimate Approver to join our Centralized Maintenance team. As an Estimate Approver, you will play a critical role in reviewing and validating estimates from outside maintenance vendors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and validate estimates for tractors, trailers, and hostlers
  • Verify that defects meet client wear and tear guidelines
  • Ensure that solutions provided by vendors address defects and prices are reasonable
  • Flag repairs or charges that are not reasonable for further review
Requirements:
  • ASE Automotive Service Excellence certification
  • Experience working as a pricing analyst or reviewing quotes for a fleet management company
  • High School or Equivalent Diploma
  • Maintenance experience with trailers and power units/Class 8 Vehicles
  • Experience working under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in transportation operations with knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations
