Crystal Mountain, Washington, is seeking a skilled Terrain Park Attendant to join its team of big mountain enthusiasts. With a passion for the guest experience and the outdoors, this role offers a unique opportunity to work in a breathtaking National Forest setting.

About the Role:

  • This position involves regular maintenance of terrain park features, boundary ropes, and signage during operating hours using snow rakes, shovels, and drills.
  • The successful candidate will prepare the terrain park to be opened each day by setting up signage and boundary ropes, clearing fresh snow, and shaping snow around each feature.
  • Maintenance tasks also include removing obstacles to snow grooming equipment, reshaping/rebuilding feature takeoffs, and inspecting/testings features to ensure they are free of damage.
  • A positive guest experience is crucial in this role, as the Terrain Park Attendant acts as an ambassador to the public, setting good examples of terrain park etiquette on the mountain.
  • The ideal candidate will possess strong skiing/riding skills and be able to work independently, with minimal supervision.

Requirements:

  • Strong skiing/riding skills.
  • Able to work outside in any weather conditions, including rain, snow, sleet, high winds, and cold temperatures.
  • Ability to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position a minimum of 60 pounds on an occasional basis, and a minimum of 20 pounds on a frequent basis.
  • Manual dexterity to operate hand tools such as rakes, shovels, and basic carpentry tools.
