Position Overview:

The Nurse Practitioner (NP) plays a crucial role in delivering advanced nursing care within the realm of occupational health. This position requires a dedicated professional who is adept at assessing, diagnosing, and managing the health needs of employees in various settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive evaluations and treatment for workers' compensation cases and episodic care.
  • Conduct pre-employment examinations and health assessments.
  • Deliver direct patient care and health education to individuals and groups.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Recent relevant experience in urgent care, family practice, or occupational medicine.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One year of experience in occupational health settings.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is advantageous.

Licensure and Certifications:

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner in California.
  • DEA registration or proof of application.
  • Current certifications in CPR, ACLS, and PALS.
  • Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Examiner Certification within three months of hire.
