Forestry Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Forestry Specialist to join our team at Radiant Ventures. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and efficiency of our rail network through effective vegetation management.

• Independently carry out vegetation maintenance along our rail network, identifying and mitigating potential hazards to train traffic.
• Operate motorized chainsaws, brush cutters, and specialized tools to maintain vegetation and ensure safe rail operations.
• Conduct thorough inspections to identify quality defects and fallen trees, and safely eliminate them to prevent disruptions to rail services.
• Clearing of cuttings and debris is also a critical aspect of this role.
• Utilize your trained eye to quickly identify potential hazards in the vegetation and take proactive measures to prevent accidents.

• Relevant qualifications in forestry, horticulture, or a related field.
• Current chainsaw certification or willingness to obtain one with our support.
• A valid Class B driver's license for daily travel to construction sites and transportation of equipment.
• Pass a fitness assessment as part of the selection process to ensure your ability to safely carry out vegetation maintenance.
