About the Role

Purcell International Group is seeking an exceptional Senior Manager of Research and Development to lead our product innovation efforts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating innovative and quality products that meet customer needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Development: Play a critical role in the development, scale-up, and manufacturing of consumer goods products.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that processes are followed and identify areas for improvement with a keen eye for detail.
  • Project Management: Collect project status updates, adhere to strict timelines, and provide clear direction to the team.
  • Timely Delivery: Ensure projects are delivered on promised dates, backing up all statements with detailed data.
  • Formula Creation: Develop new formulas for both new and existing business opportunities.
  • Client Collaboration: Work with the VP of R&D Operations, Sales and Marketing to create new formulas and match client benchmarks.
  • Supplier Interface: Communicate needs to partner suppliers, acquire innovative materials, and formulate compliant, state-of-the-art products.
  • Team Leadership: Provide direction and follow-up to ensure timely project completion, guiding a large team of chemists with technical support and oversight.
  • Compliance and Documentation: Adhere to company guidelines, SOPs, and good laboratory practices. Write and enter formulas into the R&D system, create clear, replicable processes, and test finished products using lab instrumentation.
  • Vendor Relations: Meet with new vendors to source raw materials and innovative materials, and to expand industry knowledge.
Supervisory Responsibility

This position supervises the R&D department and Product Development. Supervision includes, 1 Manager of Product Development & R&D Operations, 1 Regulatory Affairs Manager, 1 Sr. Regulatory Analyst, 1 Sr. Analytical Chemist & Regulatory Affairs, 1 R&D Stability & Compatibility Coordinator, and 1 R&D compounding Specialist.
