Key Responsibilities
  • Collects green fees and sells golf supplies and concessions
  • Starts players on the golf course and acquaints new golfers with course rules and regulations
  • Provides excellent customer service and establishes effective working relationships with employees, officials, and the public
  • Patrols course property to direct pace of play and enforce golf rules and etiquette
  • Sells season passes and maintains records of sales
  • Cleans the pro shop and restrooms on a daily basis
  • Enforces established policies, rules, and regulations of the course
  • Receives and responds to complaints from golfers
  • Operates a motor vehicle to assist in carrying out the business of the department and the City
Requirements
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to work harmoniously with patrons and fellow employees
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to count change and maintain records
  • Working knowledge of the rules of golf
  • Ability to learn and enforce course policies, rules, and regulations
  • Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, and the public
Working Conditions

The Pro Shop Attendant will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interactions with customers. The position requires the ability to work in a team environment, multitask, and adapt to changing situations. The employee will be required to stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle, feel, or operate objects, tools, or controls. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds individually.
