Job Summary
Aiken Regional Medical Centers is seeking a skilled Echocardiography Specialist to join our team. As a Cardiovascular Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing echocardiograms and other diagnostic imaging procedures to help diagnose and treat cardiovascular diseases.
Responsibilities
- Perform echocardiograms and other diagnostic imaging procedures to assess cardiovascular function and diagnose diseases
- Operate and maintain echocardiography equipment, including ultrasound machines and related software
- Develop and implement imaging protocols to ensure high-quality images and accurate diagnoses
- Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans and provide patient care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
Requirements
- Graduate of a Cardiovascular Technology program or equivalent formal training
- College-level courses in anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology preferred
- 2-4 years of experience in echocardiography or related field preferred
- RDCS or RCS registry eligible; RVT or RVS registry eligible; must obtain registry within one year of hire
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
