Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Facility Support Specialist to join our team at Tampa JCC Federation Inc. This role involves a variety of essential tasks aimed at maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

Core Duties Include:

  • Performing general maintenance and housekeeping tasks to ensure the facility is in optimal condition.
  • Assisting with event logistics, including room arrangements, signage management, and equipment setup and breakdown.
  • Setting up and managing lighting and audio-visual equipment for presentations and teleconferences.
  • Completing all assigned maintenance work orders, both preventive and corrective.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and safety in all areas of the facility, adhering to good housekeeping practices.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Strong customer service abilities.
  • Effective problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in general maintenance and custodial duties.
  • Background in event setup and breakdown.
  • Familiarity with audio-visual equipment setup.
  • Knowledge of safe tool and equipment usage.
  • A professional demeanor and appearance.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • A valid Florida Driver License.
  • A clean background check.
Physical Requirements

Candidates must be able to:

  • Work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Engage in medium to heavy physical activity, including standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and lifting up to 75 lbs.
