Position Overview

We are currently seeking a Lean Technician to play a vital role in our Distribution Center. This position is integral to our continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on enhancing safety, quality, delivery, and productivity. As a key contributor, you will collaborate with the Lean Manufacturing expert to implement Lean Process Improvements that align with our business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive and lead projects aimed at fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with various internal teams, including Operational Excellence, Inventory Control, and Maintenance, to ensure successful implementation of changes.
  • Enhance site safety through methodologies such as 5S, standard work practices, and ergonomic improvements.
  • Support the achievement of world-class quality and delivery by utilizing problem-solving techniques to identify root causes and address visible issues.

Shift Details

This position operates on the 1st shift, from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM PST, with flexibility as required.

Qualifications

Required:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or distribution setting.

Preferred:

  • Associate's degree in a technical discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in Lean methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Manhattan or INFOR WMS systems.
  • Experience in creating dashboards using PowerBI or Tableau.
  • Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification or higher.
  • Experience with material handling equipment.
  • Proficiency in reporting and data analysis, particularly with MS Excel.
  • Experience in a unionized environment.

Education

High School Diploma or GED is required.

Compensation and Benefits

The typical pay range for this role is $38.82 per hour. This range reflects the base hourly rate for all positions within this job grade. Actual salary offers may vary based on experience, education, and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for bonuses, commissions, or short-term incentive programs in addition to the base pay.
