Quick Lube Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Automotive Service Technician to join our team at J. Allen Ford. As a Quick Lube Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting and maintaining vehicles to ensure they are running smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities- Perform Multipoint Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify any issues or needed repairs.
- Communicate with Service Advisors: Clearly communicate any additional service or repair needs to our service advisors.
- Service Vehicles: Use hand- or compressed-air powered grease guns to service universal joints, grease fittings, and steering knuckles.
- Inspect Fluid Levels: Check fluid levels in steering gears, power steering reservoirs, transmissions, differentials, rear axle housings, and shackles.
- Check Tire Pressure: Ensure tire pressure is at the recommended level.
- Lubricate Moving Parts: Lubricate moving parts with specified lubricants to prevent wear and tear.
- Drain and Refill Oil: Drain oil from crankcases and refill with the required amount of oil.
- Replace Oil and Air Filters: Replace oil and air filters as needed.
- Inspect Vehicles for Additional Repairs: Inspect all vehicles for any additional repairs that may be needed.
- Adhere to Company Policies: Adhere to all company policies, procedures, safety standards, and codes of conduct.
- Meet Dealership Requirements: Must meet the dealership's requirements for employment.
- Read and Comprehend Written Instructions: Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information.
- Familiarity with Automotive Repair: Familiarity with all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance.
- Valid Driver's License: Must have a valid driver's license and be able to operate manual transmissions.
- Prior Experience: Prior experience as a technician's helper or apprentice is preferred.
- Effective Communication: Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
