Mansfield Comprehensive Treatment Center is seeking a highly skilled Substance Use Disorder Counselor to join our team. As a Substance Use Disorder Counselor, you will play a vital role in the treatment and recovery of patients struggling with opioid use disorder.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality, compassionate guidance in individual and group counseling sessions.
- Plan, oversee, facilitate, and document patient recovery.
- Co-facilitate group or family sessions as needed.
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation of patient care, treatment, and incidents.
- Prepare individual treatment plans for assigned patients.
- Conduct initial and follow-up assessments.
- Evaluate patient needs and determine if referrals to other programs or facilities are necessary.
- Plan for aftercare for assigned patients.
- Provide crisis intervention and case management duties for patients.
- Act as a liaison between referral sources and patients.
- High school graduate or equivalent required.
- Prefer Bachelor's or Master's degree in a social or health services field.
- Degree must be from an accredited college or university.
- Prior experience and knowledge in an addiction recovery and/or medication-assisted treatment environment.
- Required licenses/certifications: CDCA, LCDC II, LCDC III, LICDC, and LICDC-CS.
