Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fitter to join our team at Pennsylvania Transformer Technology LLC. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating various equipment to assemble and repair mechanical structures and parts with high precision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply welds per AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Code and PTT weldment standards
  • Layout and fabricate materials according to engineered drawings and written instructions
  • Perform minor repairs to welding equipment and burning equipment
  • Use engineered drawings to layout tanks, tank assemblies, and other components
  • Hand burn and grind materials
  • Layout and shoot studs per engineered drawings
  • Check work per drawings and complete QA sheets
  • Pick up and move material/parts and maintain a clean and safe work environment

Requirements:

  • High School education or equivalent
  • Experience reading blueprints and drawings
  • Experience reading measurements to plan layout and procedures
  • Basic math skills
  • Vocational weld training preferred

Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will be required to work Monday through Friday and be on call as needed. Shift work, weekend, and overtime may be required.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands of this role include standing for periods of time, sitting, kneeling, crouching, balancing, stooping, using arms, fingers, and hands, talking, listening, and climbing ladders. The employee must occasionally lift and move up to 60 pounds.
