Job Overview

C & R Building Supply is seeking a highly skilled Paint Sales Associate to manage the workflow of their paint department and delegate tasks effectively. This role requires strong leadership and team management skills, as well as excellent organizational abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the paint department's workflow and delegate tasks to ensure efficient operations
  • Assess employee performance and identify areas for improvement
  • Meet business goals, deadlines, and performance standards
  • Greet customers and provide exceptional service
  • Operate a Point of Sale computer system and check out customers
  • Close the register, count the till, and maintain accurate records
  • Assist customers with product selection and offer expert advice on paints and supplies
  • Stock shelves, rotate stock, and perform inventory transfers
  • Receive stock orders, put away merchandise, and maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Maintain knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials common to the painting trade
  • Prepare and apply paints to different types of surfaces

Requirements:

  • Benjamin Moore Paint Experience and Product Knowledge (required)
  • Fluency in Spanish (required)
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Knowledge of Construction/Building Industry
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication and written/oral comprehension skills
  • Able to work quickly and accurately in a complex environment
  • Physically able to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Advanced leadership and team management skills
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience
