Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting projects as a full member of a research team or as an independent researcher under general direction and guidance on project objectives, limits, work plans, and conclusions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Development of geodatabases, geoprocessing tools, and derived data products to support high-end spatial analysis, data analytics, and visualization applications.
  • Organize and input data into databases, maintain accurate detailed records of observations, measurements, and results.
  • Set and meet deadlines for completion of work in a timely manner.
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to other relevant projects as directed.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a BS or MS degree in a relevant field, plus 2-5 years of relevant experience. A background in marine science is preferred, and experience supporting NOAA or BOEM is highly desirable.

The successful candidate will be proficient in advanced spatial modeling, including raster and vector analysis and cartography, and have experience with ArcMap 10.X, ArcGIS Pro, and ArcGIS Online.
