Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Unified School District 305 Salina Public Schools. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a critical role in providing specialized instruction to identified special education students with diverse learning needs and abilities.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will possess a valid Kansas SLP license from the Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services (KDADS) and have knowledge of evidence-based practices in speech-language therapy for school-aged children. You will be responsible for building rapport and collaborating well with a variety of team members, as well as maintaining accurate, complete, and confidential records as required by law, policy, and administrative regulations.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide speech-language therapy services to students with diverse learning needs and abilities
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers and other professionals
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to provide support and accommodations for students in the general education classroom
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential records as required by law, policy, and administrative regulations
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in speech-language therapy
Requirements:
  • Valid Kansas SLP license from the Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services (KDADS)
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practices in speech-language therapy for school-aged children
  • Ability to build rapport and collaborate well with a variety of team members
  • Effective oral and written communication skills necessary for working in an off-site setting
  • Knowledge of special education law
  • Ability to maintain accurate, complete, and confidential records as required by law, policy, and administrative regulations
