Fire Alarm Lead Job Description

Viking Automatic Sprinkler Co. is seeking a seasoned Fire Alarm Lead to spearhead our fire alarm and fire extinguisher division in Omaha, NE. As a key member of our team, you will leverage your industry expertise to drive growth, manage customer relationships, and ensure seamless execution of fire alarm services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and expand existing customer relationships while establishing new connections.
  • Grow new monitoring accounts while effectively managing the existing monitoring base.
  • Provide accurate estimates and drawings for fire alarm installations, upgrades, and inspections.
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant codes and standards.
  • Recommend improvements to projects and procedures to enhance overall company success.
  • Provide strategic direction for future growth and planning of the fire alarm division.
  • Manage and lead day-to-day field activities, including project budget management.
  • Ability to self-perform work when required.
  • Test and inspect fire alarm and extinguisher systems.
  • Serve as a trainer and coach for crew members.
  • Some travel may be required.
Qualifications:
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written) are essential.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications.
  • NICET certification in fire alarm required, with the ability to obtain NICET 3 in fire alarms.
  • Valid State License for Low Voltage work (PLT where applicable).
  • Suppression experience/certification a plus.
  • Initiative and drive to grow a business unit.
  • Strong organizational skills required.
  • Business development/marketing skills a plus.
  • Possess a valid driver's license.
