Powerhouse Operator

Goodyear is seeking a skilled Powerhouse Operator to join our team in Topeka, KS. As a Powerhouse Operator, you will be responsible for supporting the manufacturing process by troubleshooting, performing preventative maintenance, and repairing all tire-related manufacturing, processing machinery, and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate and maintain boilers, boiler controls, boiler drying and air filtration equipment, and moisture separators and their drain systems.
- Lubricate compressed air systems.
- Correct PH in the water entering tubers and perform laboratory water tests and other water chemistry tests as necessary.
- Safely and efficiently operate equipment in accordance with EPA, OSHA, and other environmental and safety regulations.
- Enter test results and equipment operational data into spreadsheets and data collection systems and analyze the data for trends and report out as needed.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of one year's experience with operations of boilers and boiler controls.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship now or in the future.
- Must be able to successfully complete all post-offer, pre-employment contingencies.
- Ability to work any and/or rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, or overtime if applicable.
- Basic computer skills.
- Previous experience as an Industrial Powerhouse Operator with the basic knowledge and understanding of machine technology, construction, operation of heavy industrial machinery, and power/control devices.
- Journeyman's card.
- State certification for boiler operator.
- Experience adhering to industry-specific safety standards.
- Competitive hourly rate of $42.83 with possible overtime opportunities.
- Eligible for Cost of Living pay Adjustments on a quarterly basis.
- Night shift bonus and mix area pay opportunities.
- Weekly pay and up to 200 hours of vacation per year.
- 11 paid holidays per year.
