Your Role at Avera: We are currently seeking dedicated Registered Nurses (RN) to provide exceptional nursing care in patient-centered environments.

If you are an experienced nurse seeking a role with fewer weekend commitments in a dynamic unit that serves patients of all ages, this position is tailored for you.
Position Highlights:
- Manage 20 Pre/Post rooms for patients undergoing general surgeries, GI, cardiac, and pulmonary procedures, with patient ratios of 1:3-4.
- Care for patients of all ages in a 14 PACU bay unit, maintaining patient ratios of 1:1-2.
- Enjoy self-scheduling options with a variety of 8- and 12-hour shifts available.

SUMMARY: The Nursing Department at Avera McKennan requires all nurses to demonstrate competent nursing care and maintain a professional demeanor in their role as an RN. The position aligns with the American Nurses Association (ANA) scope and standards of practice. Registered Nurses are responsible for employing the nursing process to deliver care and are accountable for their actions and patient outcomes during their shifts.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
- Graduation from a CCNE or NLN accredited nursing program is strongly preferred; graduates from an approved nursing program are also acceptable.
- A Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred.
CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, and REGISTRATIONS:
- Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of South Dakota or meet multi-state licensure requirements.
- Specialty certification is preferred.
- Membership in a professional organization is preferred.

Work Schedule:
- Varied shifts: Monday-Friday; 72 hours every two weeks.
- Includes every fifth weekend and one to two holidays per year.
- Requires 9 call shifts every 10 weeks, including overnight and weekend shifts.

The hourly pay range for this position is provided below. Actual hourly rate will be determined based on experience.
