Position Summary

We are currently looking for a qualified CDL Laborer to join our highway maintenance team. This role involves performing a variety of maintenance tasks on highways and roadways under close supervision. The ideal candidate will be trained in routine highway maintenance procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clear and maintain culverts.
  • Mow and remove brush from roadways.
  • Repair broken or eroded pavement and shoulders.
  • Assist with storm cleanup efforts.
  • Conduct fence and sign repairs.
  • Remove litter and debris from work areas.
  • Respond to emergency situations as needed.
  • Operate equipment utilized in highway maintenance.
  • Utilize hand tools such as shovels, rakes, and brooms.
  • Employ power tools including chainsaws, pole saws, and backpack blowers.
Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.

Experience:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Possession of a Commercial Driver's License (Class A or B) with a clean driving record for the past three years is essential.
  • Availability to work days, nights, and overtime as required.
  • Ability to work in adverse weather conditions.
  • Capable of lifting moderately heavy objects.
  • Must be able to bend, climb, stand, stoop, or walk for extended periods.
  • Demonstrated eye-hand coordination.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing work plans and schedules based on workload or seasonal demands.
