Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Recreational Therapist to join our Psychosocial Rehabilitation department at Catawba Hospital. As a key member of our interdisciplinary treatment team, you will be responsible for facilitating music, recreation, movement-related, and/or process-oriented group interventions for adult and geriatric individuals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate group interventions to promote socialization, relaxation, and stress reduction
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the treatment team
  • Coordinate and lead daily meetings with the treatment team
  • Assign treatment plans to team members and ensure timely completion
  • Document patient progress and treatment outcomes
Requirements
  • Previous experience in group facilitation and documentation, preferably in a mental health setting
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • CTRS or COTA certification or licensure required within six months of hire
