We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Lifeguard at Delta College. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and healthy environment for students, faculty, and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain swimmer's safety and prevent accidents by being vigilant and proactive in identifying potential hazards.
- Respond to emergencies and administer first aid as needed, utilizing American Red Cross Certification in First Aid, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, and Lifeguard.
- Keep the deck area clean and organized, ensuring a positive experience for all users.
- Assist in pool maintenance and upkeep, working collaboratively with the facilities team.
- Provide exceptional customer service, promoting programs offered in the Fitness & Recreation Center and fostering a sense of community.
- Attend all in-service training sessions and staff meetings, staying up-to-date on industry best practices and college policies.
- Current certification as a lifeguard, with evidence of certification provided.
- American Red Cross Certification in First Aid, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, and Lifeguard.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds or more with assistance.
- Ability to hear and see cries for help.
- Ability to swim 300 yards.
