Job Title: Computed Tomography Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team at Travel Nurse Across America. As a CT Tech, you will be responsible for operating computed tomography equipment and ensuring that images are accurate and passed on to physicians for medical interpretation.

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will have 1 year of experience in computed tomography and possess a strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. You will be responsible for confirming patient identification, reviewing imaging requests, and explaining imaging procedures to patients. Additionally, you will be required to position patients correctly for scanning, use computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images, and administer radiocontrast agents as needed.

Responsibilities:
  • Confirm patient identification and review imaging requests
  • Explain imaging procedures to patients and provide reassurance and support as required
  • Position patients correctly for scanning
  • Use computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images
  • Administer radiocontrast agents as needed
  • Evaluate CT scans to determine whether they are of good technical quality
  • Follow safety procedures when working with radiation
  • Maintain accurate patient records
Requirements:
  • 1 year of experience in computed tomography
  • ARRT (CT) National Certification with registration in computed tomography
  • State-specific licensing when required
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean, or stoop easily
