Position Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and sustain the Azure infrastructure, which includes virtual machines, storage solutions, networking, and security elements.
  • Facilitate the installation, optimization, integration, troubleshooting, backup, recovery, modifications, security, and upgrades of IT systems, both on-premises and cloud-based.
  • Proficiently diagnose and resolve moderate to complex technical issues, whether onsite or remotely.
  • Create, update, and implement maintenance schedules for IT systems while managing local and remote inventories.
  • Support and manage proprietary software, as well as on-premises and cloud/SaaS solutions.
  • Continuously monitor IT systems and performance, identify issues, recommend beneficial adjustments, and ensure compliance with configuration change policies.
  • Develop and propose ITIL best practice policies and procedures, along with Knowledge Base documentation. Maintain detailed records of troubleshooting and resolution processes within ITSM software.
  • Engage in ongoing research to resolve issues and enhance personal skills and knowledge.
  • Provide after-hours support as necessary, typically for system updates and scheduled maintenance.
  • Adhere to and implement Cyber Security policies while ensuring SOX compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in an IT-related discipline with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Systems Administration.
  • At least 5 years of experience in architecting or administering IT systems in a traditional on-premises infrastructure.
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in architecting or administering systems in an Azure environment.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience with Azure services, including Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Storage, Azure Networking, Azure Security, Azure Active Directory, and Local Active Directory.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in scripting and deploying automation using PowerShell, Azure CLI, Power Automate, or similar tools.
  • Prior experience in implementing cloud security and compliance best practices.
  • Experience in monitoring and optimizing performance of Azure-based systems.
  • Background in Database administration.
  • Experience managing Microsoft products such as Endpoint Manager (Intune), MS Defender, and O365.

Preferred Skills:

  • Relevant Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Security Engineer) are advantageous.
  • Experience with Azure HCI.
  • Proficiency in scripting, Power Automate, and other automation tools.
  • Ability to diagnose, resolve, and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Experience collaborating with other teams to resolve problems and finalize issues.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage workload and prioritize support requests effectively.
  • Familiarity with cloud and on-premises applications.
  • Understanding of Cisco networks and troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Experience supporting and administering applications within the Microsoft 365 cloud ecosystem, including Office, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
  • Experience with OKTA or other Identity Providers.
  • Familiarity with Box or other cloud content management systems.
