Job Description

As a Caregiver for Specialized Home Support, you will join our mission-driven team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients. You will provide one-on-one care to young adults and elderly individuals in their home environments, assisting with daily living skills, transportation, and community participation.



Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with daily living skills, such as meal preparation and medication administration
  • Provide transportation and support for outings, medical appointments, and shopping
  • Guide clients in developing skills for community participation, household budgeting, exercise, nutrition, and vocational responsibilities
  • Support clients with personal hygiene, grooming, and toileting needs
  • Redirect agitated or aggressive behaviors as needed


Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 18 years of age
  • Professional attitude and appearance at all times
  • Six months of experience in human services preferred
  • Valid driver's license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance
  • Successful clearance of background checks
  • Reliable and responsible attitude, with a compassionate approach and commitment to quality
