We are seeking a highly skilled Compressor Operations Specialist to join our team at Apache Corporation. As a key member of our Onshore Production Operations team, you will be responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of control air air compressors and associated equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance and construction activities.
- Work with team members to set expectations and standards for contractor performance, ensuring adherence to environmental, safety, and operational standards.
- Coordinate and assist with compressor overhauls, compressor station readings, and team-based work.
- Perform visual inspections on equipment, making necessary repairs and accurately recording maintenance activities.
- Order, stock, and label spare equipment to maintain facility operations.
- Operate in a safe and environmentally sound manner, staying in contact with vendors for equipment, oils, chemicals, and filters.
- Review One-Call notifications, respond accordingly, and record.
- Keep facility clean and neat, with the ability to wear respirator protection and personal protective equipment as required.
- Respond to emergency call-outs 24/7.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
- 5+ years of related industry experience, with a focus on troubleshooting and diagnosing engine and compressor problems.
- Excellent time management skills, with good written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency with PC-based computer applications, knowledge of safe working procedures, and attention to detail.
- Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of 10-100 pounds, with occasional squatting, crawling, and climbing.
- Frequent bending, reaching above shoulders, reaching to the floor, reading, writing, working at heights, and working around moving machinery.
- Continuous exposure to dust, fumes, and gases, with continuous work independently without supervision and quick decision-making.
- Communication: Effectively writes, speaks, and presents information across various communication settings.
- Results: Pursues work with energy, drive, and results orientation to positively impact Apache's business success.
- Collaboration: Works in partnership with others, building and maintaining trust.
