Mechanic III

We are seeking a highly skilled Compressor Operations Specialist to join our team at Apache Corporation. As a key member of our Onshore Production Operations team, you will be responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of control air air compressors and associated equipment.

• Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance and construction activities.
• Work with team members to set expectations and standards for contractor performance, ensuring adherence to environmental, safety, and operational standards.
• Coordinate and assist with compressor overhauls, compressor station readings, and team-based work.
• Perform visual inspections on equipment, making necessary repairs and accurately recording maintenance activities.
• Order, stock, and label spare equipment to maintain facility operations.
• Operate in a safe and environmentally sound manner, staying in contact with vendors for equipment, oils, chemicals, and filters.
• Review One-Call notifications, respond accordingly, and record.
• Keep facility clean and neat, with the ability to wear respirator protection and personal protective equipment as required.
• Respond to emergency call-outs 24/7.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 5+ years of related industry experience, with a focus on troubleshooting and diagnosing engine and compressor problems.
• Excellent time management skills, with good written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency with PC-based computer applications, knowledge of safe working procedures, and attention to detail.
• Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of 10-100 pounds, with occasional squatting, crawling, and climbing.
• Frequent bending, reaching above shoulders, reaching to the floor, reading, writing, working at heights, and working around moving machinery.
• Continuous exposure to dust, fumes, and gases, with continuous work independently without supervision and quick decision-making.
