Job Summary

The Greenbrier is seeking a highly motivated and energetic Adventure Zone Counselor to join our team. As an Adventure Zone Counselor, you will be responsible for creating a fun and engaging environment for children aged 3-12, while also ensuring their safety and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement activities that promote physical and mental development in children, such as swimming, bowling, golf, tennis, and organized games.
  • Work collaboratively with other counselors to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all children.
  • Develop and implement new activities to keep the children engaged and excited.
  • Assist with registration and interact with parents to ensure a positive experience for the entire family.
  • Maintain a clean and organized environment in the Adventure Zone.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure seamless coordination of activities.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working with children, preferably in a preschool, elementary, or church camp setting.
  • Ability to work in a physically active environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
Working Conditions

The Adventure Zone Counselor will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interactions with children and parents. The position requires the ability to work in a team environment, think creatively, and adapt to changing circumstances.
