Job Summary

At Deborah Heart and Lung Center, we are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team in the Acute Care department. As a Licensed Practical Nurse - Acute Care Specialist, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients with predictable outcomes under the direction of a registered nurse. You will also participate in the care of complicated unstable patients under the direct supervision of a registered nurse.

Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care to stable patients with predictable outcomes under the direction of a registered nurse.
  • Participate in the care of complicated unstable patients under the direct supervision of a registered nurse.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor patients' conditions and report any changes or concerns to the registered nurse.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program.
  • NJ State Practical Nursing License.
  • BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
  • Basic EKG certification.
  • IV certification within 3 months of hire.
Work Environment

You will be working in a fast-paced acute care environment, providing care to patients with a variety of medical conditions. You will be part of a team of healthcare professionals who are dedicated to providing high-quality patient care.
