Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach interior design courses at Northern VA Community College.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach interior design courses to students from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
  • Develop and implement course syllabi and instructional materials.
  • Maintain accurate records, assign grades, and assess student progress.
  • Adhere to college policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Stay current with industry developments and best practices in interior design.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in interior design or related field.
  • Two years of experience in interior design or related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to teach in a variety of formats, including face-to-face, remote, and online.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in interior design or related field.
  • Knowledge of design software, such as AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Experience teaching in higher education.
  • Ability to teach students from diverse language backgrounds and varying levels of proficiency.
