Key Responsibilities
  • Operate CNC Machines: Set up, parametrize, and operate CNC machines according to work order requirements, ensuring quality and production time.
  • Machining Sequence and Production Planning: Define machining sequence or production work order, assemble and prepare tools and equipment.
  • Tool Preparation and Installation: Prepare, complete, and install tools and/or clamping devices, enter processing data, and simulate production process.
  • Production Program Operation: Operate work order-related production program, check results, and correct program if necessary.
  • Work Order Progress Control: Control and document work order progress, problems, machine time, materials used, and oversee activities of auxiliary personnel, if required.
  • Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Carry out minor maintenance work or cooperate with maintenance to identify and resolve failures, if required.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 5+ years of CNC grinding experience.
  • Skills: Excellent CNC grinding (ID & OD) and measurement skills, manual lathe, mill, drill, and surface grinder experience.
  • Ability: Select, mount, attach, and calibrate a variety of machining attachments, machine angles, contours, lines, spheres, etc.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Ability to work both independently and in a team environment, flexibility, and creativity required, good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Authorization: External applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment VISA or other sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Education: Associates Degree in Machine Tool Technology (machine tool curriculum) or formal Apprenticeship.
  • Experience: Diverse background in manufacturing, R&D, machine shop, and quality.
  • Skills: Ability to identify potential design or manufacturing problems, proficient with a variety of machine tools, including lathes, mills, grinders, etc.
  • Measurement Systems: Proficient with the use of both metric and standard measurement systems, proficient in the use of precision gauging.
