Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse Operating Room to join our team. As a key member of our surgical services department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and supporting the delivery of safe and effective surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepares the OR suite for new admissions, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for patients and staff.
  • Evaluates and assesses patients' surgical status, documenting findings and collaborating with anesthesia to ensure accurate blood product administration.
  • Assists with maintaining intake and output records, checking availability of blood products, and documenting blood administration.
  • Demonstrates ability to handle difficult situations and utilizes safety measures as needed.
  • Monitors and evaluates patients receiving conscious sedation, intervening appropriately and documenting interventions.
  • Maintains thorough knowledge of O.R equipment, performing initial vital signs and admission history, and assessing chief complaints and notifying physicians within 15 minutes of arrival.
  • Obtains and documents accurate systems assessments at the beginning of each procedure.
  • Responds to diagnostic data, initiating appropriate action or intervention as needed.
  • Assesses patient education needs on admission, addressing psychosocial needs specific to patients' age, growth, and development.
  • Initiates plan of care within eight hours of admission, establishing priorities for patient care based on patient needs.

Qualifications

  • Current FL RN License
  • BLS required
  • CNOR preferred; minimum one year of experience scrubbing and circulating through various service lines.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $90,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, life insurance, long-term disability coverage, and more.
