Rogers Freels & Associates Inc is seeking a highly skilled Engine Management Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering staff, you will be responsible for delivering timely engineering support and expertise to our clients.
Job Summary
We are seeking a growth-oriented candidate to become an integral part of our engineering team. The selected candidate will work with an experienced engineering staff using state-of-the-art engineering tools and processes. This position will operate onsite at our customer's world-class engineering and manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Validating engine management system requirements and verifying functionality meets design intent.
- Documenting testing, working with system engineers to keep requirements database updated.
- Assisting in collecting data and supporting calibration activities in the field.
- Serving as a tactical liaison between product engineering and PV&V supporting engine management system troubleshooting.
- Working with customer support team, supporting diagnostics development.
- Proactively communicating and managing product issues with suppliers.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Mechanical, or Agricultural Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Experience in giving presentations, explaining complex engineering issues and breaking them down into action items.
- Must be a self-starter and able to work well without close direction, in the office and in the field.
- Experience operating recreational off-highway equipment such as UTV's, Marine.
- Experience with SAE J1939 CANBUS systems (used for communication and diagnostics among vehicle components) or NMEA 2000 systems (used for connecting marine sensors and display units within ships and boats).
- Experience with ECU (electronic control unit) and vehicle network analysis tools such as Vector CANalyzer, CANape (for analysis and stimulation of network communications in automotive industry).
- Experience using oscilloscope/multi-meter to diagnose signals and electrical system.
