Warehouse Associate Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and energetic Stock Associate to join our growing team of professionals at NAPA Auto Parts.

The successful candidate will be responsible for handling incoming and outbound freight, scanning, separating, and shelving merchandise, pulling, palletizing, and shrink-wrapping freight, and restocking the retail showroom sales floor.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment by moving through aisles, rows, and shelves, and lifting merchandise up to 60 lbs as needed.
  • Utilize heavy equipment such as hand trucks, forklifts, and pallet jackets to maneuver and load merchandise.
  • Assist team members in maintaining a clean and organized floor, and ensure the correct parts are placed on the correct truck.
  • Stage product on pallets, shrink wrap to prevent loss, and load pallets on trucks.
  • Keep work areas clean to avoid potential accidents and allow for rapid loading.
  • Pull stock orders until time to load trucks as needed, and pull large parts and stage to the proper truck.
  • Assist with staging merchandise for dispatch, and work in a safe manner following all safety procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
  • NAPA Associates must have the stamina to stand and walk for the entire work shift.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience is required.
  • 6 months prior work experience is a plus.
  • Forklift certification available.
  • Able to speak clearly and listen attentively.
  • Capable of recognizing and distinguishing letters and numbers (both visually and aurally) and remembering their sequence.
  • Should have basic computer usage skills.
