We're looking for a Parking Associate who will create an efficient, stress-free, and enjoyable experience for each customer.

The ideal candidate will receive payment from customers for parking services and facilitate the flow of traffic through the facility. This includes counting the bank of revenue at the beginning of the shift to ensure the starting total is correct, collecting cash and/or validations, making change, and issuing receipts or tickets to customers.

Salary: $11.00 per hour

Responsibilities:

  1. Treat each customer with respect and kindness, ensuring each interaction delivers on the SP+ Promise
  2. Be at work every scheduled day, on time, and in uniform, ready to assist customers
  3. Count the bank of revenue at the beginning of the shift to ensure the starting total is correct
  4. Collect cash and/or validations and maintain security of cash
  5. Making change and issuing receipts or tickets to customers
  6. Compute or recompute bills from tickets showing the amount due per customer
  7. Operate the cash register after time calculation, calculate costs or transactions, and display the cost of customer transactions on the cash register
  8. Quote prices for parking services for which money is received upon customer receipt
  9. Give directions to city locations and assist customers, ensuring they get where they are going easily and efficiently
  10. Complete lost ticket forms when original tickets cannot be located
  11. Resolve customer complaints quickly and efficiently, asking a supervisor for assistance when needed
  12. Answer the telephone in a prompt and courteous manner
  13. Maintain cleanliness of the booth and pick up trash in the surrounding area
  14. Conduct timely checks to see if a proper inventory of necessary work aids and supplies are located in the booth
  15. Verify the log of shift transactions against the bank of revenue on hand
  16. Compile the bank of collected revenue during the day once a predetermined amount of money has been collected
  17. Record amounts received, cars in/out of the facility, cars left in the facility (if applicable) while preparing the shift report of transactions
  18. Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications:

  1. Education and/or Experience: Less than high school education or up to one month related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  2. Availability to Work: Special shift requirements, if any, will vary depending on a location's hiring needs
  3. License Requirement: A valid state-issued driver's license with a current address and acceptable driving record
  4. Mathematical skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  5. Language skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  6. Reasoning ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but standard written or oral instructions
  7. Other skills and abilities: Ability to use a clock, calculator, or credit card machine to handle transactions
