Physical Therapist Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist to join our team at ECHN. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will play a vital role in evaluating and treating patients to improve or restore their functional abilities.

About the Position

This challenging and rewarding role involves working with patients of all ages, from infants to seniors, to assess their needs and develop personalized treatment plans. You will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support for each patient.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients using departmental standards to identify areas for improvement
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address specific patient needs
  • Treat patients using various therapeutic exercises, manual techniques, and physical agents to relieve pain and promote recovery
  • Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and functional activities to enhance independent living skills
  • Document patient progress and outcomes in accordance with insurance guidelines and facility policies
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited program in Physical Therapy with a minimum of a B.S.
  • Current Connecticut license in Physical Therapy
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare colleagues
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities
