Position Overview:
TRC is currently seeking a Senior Archaeological Project Manager to join our Environmental Practice. This role will report to our Planning, Permitting, and Licensing Practice and will involve overseeing both large-scale and small-scale archaeological projects. The successful candidate will be expected to travel frequently and work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a variety of archaeological projects, from localized surveys to extensive multi-year initiatives.
- Oversee planning, logistics, and fieldwork supervision, ensuring all project milestones are met.
- Uphold TRC's safety and quality standards, ensuring compliance among field personnel.
- Maintain high standards of accuracy and organization in all collected data and reports.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures while performing additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Master's degree in anthropology or archaeology, with a minimum of two years of experience in fieldwork management.
- Experience in New Mexico is essential.
- A willingness to travel on short notice.
- Strong organizational skills and a commitment to client service and technical excellence.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Successful completion of a background check and drug screening.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in various aspects of archaeological fieldwork, including survey and data recovery.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with state and federal regulations related to environmental review processes.
- Proficiency in digital field technologies such as GPS and tablets.
