Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced pharmacist to join our retail pharmacy team in New York. This role is essential for ensuring the delivery of high-quality pharmaceutical care to our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the supervising pharmacist or pharmacist in charge, registered with the state board of pharmacy.
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and board of pharmacy regulations, as well as company policies.
- Oversee the pharmacy department's operations to meet financial objectives.
- Engage in business development initiatives within the store and the local community.
- Manage pharmacy support staff, including performance evaluations and training.
- Ensure all pharmacy associates complete mandatory training.
- Provide patient-centered services, including immunizations and medication therapy management.
- Offer counseling to patients and healthcare providers regarding medications, including usage, dosage, interactions, and side effects.
- Monitor patient health and progress to ensure adherence to treatment plans and optimize therapeutic outcomes.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement programs to enhance patient safety.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Active and in good standing as a Registered Pharmacist with the New York Board of Pharmacy.
- Certification in immunization is required.
- Proficiency in administering all vaccines is necessary.
- Availability for full-time work with a flexible schedule.
