Job Title: Material Handler

Millenniumsoft is seeking a highly skilled Material Handler to join our team. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for moving materials, parts, and finished products within our warehouse using a variety of equipment such as forklifts, conveyers, cranes, handcarts, and power trucks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a forklift and other equipment to move materials and products within the warehouse.
  • Maintain accurate records and develop skills in basic tasks, techniques, and procedures within one skill area or process.
  • Apply basic knowledge and skills to complete routine tasks consisting of prescribed steps.
  • Work within clearly defined Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and adhere to quality guidelines.
Requirements:
  • Zero to one year of warehouse experience or related experience and/or training.
  • Mainly manual labor, unloading trucks, and stacking pallets, with some weighing less than 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to verify labels on boxes and matching to pallets, with attention to detail essential.
  • Stand-up forklift experience is required.
  • Obtains and/or maintains appropriate licenses/training/certifications, as needed.
  • Basic skills training in an analytical/scientific method or operational process area (e.g., material handling and management, logistics, manufacturing production).
  • Effective communication skills at a level coworkers and Team Lead/Supervisor can understand.
  • Ability to read, write, interpret, and comprehend documents written in English and perform basic math calculations.

  • The job can require lifting and/or moving over 50 lbs.
  • The position will have exposure to work near moving mechanical parts, extreme weather conditions, and vibration.
  • Occasionally, the position will have exposure to work in high, precarious places and fumes/airborne particles.
  • It is hot in the summer months (no AC) and cold in the winter months (limited heating). The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
