We are seeking an experienced Director of Cloud Solutions to lead our technology decisions related to infrastructure and vendor functions for our commercial products. The director will manage the product's technology operations, implement new IT systems/policies, and oversee a team of seasoned data engineers, data scientists, machine learning, and big data experts.

  • Main Responsibilities:

    1. Define and enforce IT policies related to cloud security, software development, and DevOps best practices to ensure scalable and secure systems.

    2. Provide strategic support and challenge decisions through thought-provoking questions.

    3. Understand data governance; create and maintain policies and procedures while implementing data management systems and ensuring compliance with regulations.

    4. Simplify complex problems to make them manageable for the organization.

    5. Drive organizational change effectively.

    6. Foster strong cross-functional communication and collaboration.

    7. Lead software engineering teams in cloud-native environments, particularly Microsoft Azure.

    8. Drive the adoption of cloud best practices, microservices, and scalable architecture.

    9. Establish coding standards, best practices, and governance policies to ensure maintainable, scalable, and secure software solutions.

    10. Cloud Optimization - Ensure efficient use of Azure services while optimizing performance, scalability, and cost.

    11. Effectively manage remote engineers.
