Job Title: Quality Improvement Nurse

About the Role:
Life Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Quality Improvement Nurse to join our Skilled Nursing team. As a Quality Improvement Nurse, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of care and service for our residents. This role requires a strong nursing background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities:
  1. Supervise direct nursing care in the Health Center to ensure the highest level of care and service for our residents.
  2. Makes routine rounds to assure proper care and a safe, clean resident environment.
  3. Assures accuracy and completeness of medical records.
  4. Coordinates, conducts, and documents the MDS, resident care plans, and conferences in the absence of the MDS nurse.
  5. Responsible for Infection Control Program.
  6. Assists with orientation of nursing personnel.
  7. Provides education/in-services to nursing staff, as needed.
  8. Assures effective communication with other shifts and departments as it relates to resident care.
  9. Notifies physician and family of changes in resident's condition.
  10. Assists DON in developing and implementing policies and procedures.
  11. Assists in infection control, safety, and pharmacy rounds and audits.

Qualifications:
  • RN degree in Nursing required.
  • Minimum one year experience in a supervisory role.
  • Experience in assisted or skilled nursing required.
